På stranden, så en fantastisk beliggenhed. En skam der ikke er afskærmning på den måde. Indkvarteringen er en smule lurvede virkelig men værelserne var rene. Det var meget enkelt, men fint for, hvad vi havde brug for. Vil sandsynligvis ikke bo her igen, hvis vi vender tilbage til

Thank you for your comments and I am truly sorry, you didn't like Montauk Blue. Not exactly sure how to respond to "accommodation is a bit scruffy," except to say, the rooms have recently been updated, and "contemporary" would be my adjective choice. Montauk is most certainly a low-key, very informal place and perhaps that is what you meant by "scruffy"? Beachside, salt air, barefoot in the sand... "Shame the fencing is in the way" is a specifically planned and executed, man-made barrier, installed by the Army Corps of Engineer to keep our beach from eroding; without the safety "net" and underpinnings of the fencing (extensive sand bags), this Montauk portion of the Atlantic Ocean could easily and probably would fall into the ocean. We are mostly grateful indeed to be the beneficiaries of the multi-million dollar, government project that has hopefully saved our beach and properties.

Dear Sir: My response to your comments are in two parts: First, I am very happy that once you went to your room, "everything (else) was perfect, with sounds of the 'crashing waves' at night, closeness to water, bonfires and picturesque fisherman. Great! On the other hand, your remarks about my "very rude, inefficient office girls" who should "all be fired" is more than a little disconcerting, particularly since I directly witnessed a considerable amount of your interaction with my reservationists, and in addition, I spoke with you directly and explained the situation. Apparently I wasn't clear enough. To review, what I said when we spoke: CHECK-IN TIME is 3 PM but, we are more than happy to give our guests an early check-in if at all possible (makes wait time for later guests & us, much easier). However, I cannot imagine how any of the front desk staff could have possibly "promised" you an early check-in on a weekend when every room was booked! That makes no sense but, if it did occur, I do apologize & believe, you were given a later check-out as a courtesy for your delay. In terms of the specific facts regarding room reservations, your's and any one else's: Rooms are assigned as soon as a reservation is made. There is no exception to this unless of course, another mistake was made but, we keep complete lists of all the daily arrivals and departures and your name was on the list. Problem here appears to be, your inconvenience and dismay that your room was not ready much earlier than our regular check-in time. To scrutinize the housekeepers as they are working and to note, "no visitors" in office, does not equate to "My room should be ready, before any one else, so why isn't it"? As I explained to you, the rooms get cleaned on a rotational basis. With a totally full house, it's impossible to tell precisely when a guest will check out & a room will then,be ready for cleaning; sometimes it's earlier than 11 am but, sometimes it's later. Obviously this is something we have no way of knowing in advance, and of course, rooms cannot be cleaned if there is a guest; therefore, some rooms will be ready sooner than others. Also, availability of any room, when we are completely booked, has NOTHING to do with your arrival time or anyone else's; there is no queue with "first come, first serve" which puts anyone at front of a "waiting line." That is impossible unless the hotel has vacant rooms in which case, as I already mentioned, an early guest will certainly be accommodated. The hotel's policy is, any early arrival guest (& there are many) is welcome to leave their luggage in front office, change and/or use the restroom facilities at the pool and of course, use the pool, lounge on deck, go to beach etc. I'm sorry you did not take advantage of what we offer but instead, chose to unfortunately sit, wait and repeatedly ask the front desk for a room when they simply, could not help you.

Montauk Blue er godt placeret i forhold til byen og stranden og værelserne er rene og sød for den pris. Det er et ret sted uden dikkedarer, men komfortable og rene (så vigtigt! ) - Så jeg vil anbefale til et kort ophold.

Thanks for your review and apologies for both the noisy neighbors and beach fireworks. Unfortunately, the beach is public property (we cannot monitor) and bonfires, not fireworks, are common but should not be noisy. Every Thursday-Sunday evening and now, almost every night during the height of the summer, there is security guard who walks the property from 9 pm-4 am plus there is a "late night" desk agent, 11 am-7 am. Not sure where the staff was the night you were here (not a good thing of course) because someone on site should have been able to help you. However, you are correct with your initial response: if in doubt, call 911; The Montauk police will come within minutes and assist you in a professional and courteous manner.

Dette var min første gang i Montauk og det vil helt sikkert ikke være mit sidste. Vi fik et værelse ved kysten med en king size seng. Værelset var perfekt og sengen var meget behagelig. Vi sov faktisk med skydedøre til at lytte til bølgerne, der var meget afslappende åbent.

Am I being charged entire amount before I arrive?
My fiancee's card was charged prior to arrival. It may look a little weird at first on your statement. But you could always call and double check with the hotel! They were friendly whenever I had called.
