We regret any dissatisfaction. Guests are always greeted and welcomed like family, as there is much to explain about the resort and what we have to offer. In fact, our housekeepers also greeted them when they arrived, and offered their assistance should they need anything during their stay? For the record, the second floor room with the sleeping loft that was originally booked, developed an air-conditioning problem, so as an accommodation, and since the family would be a bit cramped in the single room they booked with four persons and one bath, we gave the family the finest we have to offer. We gave them the Prime Minister's Suite, a freestanding, private seaside home with full separate eat-in kitchen, living room, dining room, three private verandah's, two full bathrooms, A/C, private beach, the works, all located within 20 feet of the shoreline, almost surrounded by water. Every guest wishes they could stay there, but it is beyond many peoples budget. The private cottage we gave them rents for $380 per night in comparison with the $160 per night single room, originally booked in our Sunshine House. When the guest still seemed suspicious about the free upgrade, they were offered the opportunity to go into the room originally booked upon the speedy repair of the air-conditioner, but they declined the offer. The issue with the towels was simply based on housekeepings shock at the amount of water, sand and mud all over the floor. Not only was there a “small face towel“ on the floor, but, all the white towels were on the floor soiled and being used as floor mats. All of the other guests have the courtesy and respect for the property to dry off and knock the sand off their feet or wash them off in the foot shower provided immediately outside the room before entering the premises, especially with children running about. All tile floors become slippery and hazardous when inundated with water, so it is not a good practice to "intentionally" drip water all over the floors. The reason for ceramic tile is to prevent rot or mildew due to a damp location or ground level exposure to insects that can damage wooden construction very quickly, not as an invitation to intentionally wet the floor. Furthermore, salt water is very damaging and corrosive to any floor finish and can even degrade the tile itself. The comment about the ham is puzzling as we don't even know where to buy a ham in this area? Would love to find one someplace? All appliances are inspected before and after guests arrive. The floor was no doubt dirty from all that seawater and sand they tracked in. We have an unmatched reputation for immaculately clean rooms. We understand and regret we cannot please everyone? We regret the basic lack of appreciation, the lack of respect for our housekeepers, and the lack of respect for the property and it's environment in general.

By her own admission, this guest spent just a few minutes on the property, so we believe she did not give us a fair chance. Additionally, as evidenced by our website and many positive reviews, we are widely regarded as the most natural, truly Jamaican property in the entire Negril area and that is precisely why many people visit us. Everything from our architecture, landscaping, ownership, staff, and unspoiled shoreline is 100% Jamaican. As a matter of fact, the only thing about this property, that is not 100% Jamaican, is a few persons in management of U.S. origin, (naturalized Jamaican citizens), which we suspect may be the real root of this guests displeasure? Some people do come to Jamaica for a getaway and don't want to be reminded of anything American while here. We regret that bottled water was not available at the pizza bar, but was available at another bar just a few steps away.

Please email us or call 876-957-6422 the day before you want to come and we will come pick you up at your Negril area hotel for no charge and waive the day pass too, just tip the driver if you want. If you come on your own a day pass is $10 USD per person and you have access onto the property 8am to 6pm (hotel and pool area not allowed). Our restaurant serves registered guests only but you should be able to get a drink at the Rhodes Hall Bar area if that is available the day you come (not always open). It is best to bring something to drink and a snack just in case the bar and restaurant are not open. If you want to snorkel, please bring your own snorkeling equipment. We protect our reef so please do not take, touch or feed anything in the ocean. Thank you and see you soon mon..

I advise communicating directly with management about what is offered in the package. Some elements and tours depend on weather, and food requests can be made in advance. If you added up all the things we did on our visit and the prices listed the all-inclusive was a very good deal and some of the most remarkable experiences we have had in Jamaica. The Cave tour in particular was outstanding. If you are an avid swimmer and snorkeler the resort is the best for that on the island, from what we have seen. It is a breathtakingly beautiful and quiet spot.

During our high season Dec 15th through April 15th, we offer "drop-off and pick-up" (private) taxi service to and from the Negril area for only $5 USD one way or $10 USD round trip per person. Rides can be scheduled between 8am to 6pm daily. If guests wish to go up to the Negril Cliff area on the West End cost is $10 USD per person or $20 USD round trip and drivers only accept cash. Any night time excursions into the Negril area can be negotiated with the taxi driver. Our drivers are all licensed and bonded and have the required taxi license plate and marked automobiles. Taxi service is random and subject to availability so you have to schedule a few hours in advance via pre-programmed cell phone given to each guest during their stay. Credit cards are accepted at most establishments but it is good to bring cash in case they do not accept credit cards and many do not. We do offer round trip airport transportation including baggage transfers starting at $60 USD for the first person one way or $120 USD round trip. Each additional person (up to five persons per taxi riding in the same taxi ) is only $10 USD per person one way or an additional $20 USD round trip. In most cases drivers prefer cash, however you may wish to use your credit card but we have to charge tax and service fees so most guests simply pay in cash. We also accept credit cards for accommodations, restaurant and Rhodes Hall Eco Tours. Hope to see you soon.
