Faciliteter rent/god. Tag til Faro ved E47-motorvejen.
+ amazing location, right on the beachfront sheltered by dunes and bushes. Pretty much where ever you are you can go to sleep to the sound of the waves, then wake up, walk 30 seconds and jump into the sea. Beautiful and peaceful. + The atmosphere at the campsite is great, really friendly and relaxed campers. Small enough so you start recognising and saying hello to people after about half an hour of being there. - Speaking to the owner is like being in an episode of faulty towers. Tried to speak English but she answered in German she didn't know English. We replied in Swedish that she could try Danish instead if she wanted? She persisted in very dry German 3-word sentences instead, clearly quite fed up with talking to her guests :D. She wanted to know if we had a camping card, when we started looking through our wallets and asked what kind of camping card (is it a Danish one, an international one, something for just this campsite?) she sighed and said "do you have a card or not?". She then gave us a very long list of rules and our bill on a photocopied sheet of paper. We offered to pay and asked if we could pay by credit card. She sighed again and said "all information hier", pointing at the sheet. I had to focus very hard on the list of rules so I didn't start laughing. We finally found on the list that we were supposed to pay at the end (we actually had to stand and read it all while she was watching us to get the answer). It felt like a bit of a rip off (225 kr per night for 2 people and a tent + obligatory international camping card purchase 110kr). On top of that there are loads of other random charges and rules on the list that just give you the impression they wish you weren't there (5 kr for showers...25kr for visitors and if they are still there at 10pm we charge 75kr.. you can buy bread in the morning but ONLY if you have preordered the day before etc etc). When we checked out the people ahead of us in the queue were arguing with her about the costs (they also thought it was wierd they had been charged extra for their small children) so I can only guess she spends quite a lot of her time arguing. Despite all that I would still stay there again as the location was great and the whole episode with the german lady is still making me laugh. Her husband was easier to deal with apparently.…
