Went there to see Aloha Tower. However, visitors are not allowed to climb up the stairs to the top. Disappointed. We did read the information on display regarding the tower. Glad to have learn a part of Hawaiian history. Many restaurants were not open and there were very few visitors. If you walk away from the marketplace, you will see cruise ship waiting for the passengers to return from shore

Our Uber driver was curious why we wanted to be dropped off here as it is really now a complex of Hawaii Pacific University. We came to view the Aloha Tower and nice ocean view. There is only one restaurant that is open, at least we saw on our walk by the water.
The Aloha Tower is not open, just a photo opportunity. Luckily we had planned a nice walk down to the SALT district, so this was not a trip wasted. Would not budget too much time for this area. Just a nice stroll.

The Aloha Tower has not been open for years but according to all tourist info you can go up to the 10th floor for magnificent view. None of the Tower is open now and the marketplace area is now a university. No places to shop. The only eating places are the Spagehti Factory and the Aloha Tortilla. The later is totally delicious and a take out with a clean area for eating outside.

We walked 5km to the Aloha tower marketplace to discover the tower is actually closed and the marketplace is in fact now the site for the Hawaii Pacific University. This needs to be made clear on the Google sites as it was a complete waste of time

Cool place to visit however not a lot going on. The tower has been closed since COVID and they don't have an expected opening date. We toured the market place but shopping was spotty

Thoroughly enjoyed the Moana Splash Luau. Participated in lei making, Hawaiian tattoos, ukele sessions, hula lessons as well as learning about the history and migration of the people of the Pacific.

REVIEW OF TIMESHARE UPSTSIRS. NOT THE C STORE ON STREET LEVEL:
I walked around barefoot while putting away a week's worth of clothes, kitchen items etc. My FEET were BLACK! The closet contained a broom only.
The dishwasher was not bolted in and leaned forward.
The stacking washer/ dryer did NOT FILL and I even ran a load if WATER ONLY to try to rinse the previous powdered soap away.
Floor filthy
Laundry washer did not fill
DIshwasher not attached.
Drew my finger over one of the glass lamp bodies in living room and it came away in a ridge of dust on my finger.
Honolulu downtown-ish, about 10 minutes from beach and typical of a city and a lot of noise. That did not bother us although the sirens were loud even through closed windows.
I think they are Vacations International and we traded in through Intervalworld.
NOT CLEAN. If the obvious is dirty you just know the shower tile is teeming...

The Aloha Tower is what the Statue of Liberty is to New Yorkers. The tower was the sight where immigrants saw when the immigrants arrived. The tower was built between the world wars at Honolulu Harbor’s ninth pier. When the tower was completed in 1926, it was the tallest structure in Hawaii for four decades. During World War II, it was painted camouflage to prevent the Japanese from knowing where the harbor was located. Additionally, Coast Guardsmen were stationed here to prevent the tower from being occupied. We were unable to go to the observation deck because the tower was not open. Adjacent to the tower is the Aloha Tower Marketplace complex. Few of the stores and restaurants were open when we visited. It’s worth a stop and then to walk along the boardwalk to see the shops, restaurants, and boats/ships in port.

We went there specifically for the restrooms. All were closed. We witnessed 3 weddings with diamondhead as a back drop. At one the groom played the Ike and both bride and groom sang to each other the volcano song from Disney.

In the past this was an engaging, vibrant restaurant and shopping venue and you could go up in the tower and there was some history about it. It’s now closed off.
Go to see it and take pictures but don’t plan anything more because apart from the university and a couple of restaurants there is nothing here any more.
Maybe a 15 minute stop off on your way somewhere else just so you can say you saw the famed “Aloha Tower”.

There is no cost for the elevator to the top. It was free.
There is mention of luggage storage at Aloha tower within reviews, where exactly is it and how much is the charge please. Thank you

I don't know about luggage storage at Aloha Tower, but if you arrive on a cruise ship there is luggage storage available inside the cruise terminal before you exit. In 2017 it was $5 or $10/bag to store them until 4pm.
