Basic Cineworld experience, I have been to the Sheffield cinema several times and this one doesn’t really live up to it the same

Can you believe it. Took my granddaughter to cineworld for a half term treat . Would you believe it, during most of the film I had a young child sitting in front of me who was obviously with his sister , mother and grandmother reading a book by torchlight. The light from the torch was directly in my eyeliner. I can’t believe both of the adults didn’t stop him. Very selfish. Obviously came prepared. Needs to learn some manners.

Me and my girlfriend are both 15 and we went to go watch joker knowing that we’re both over 15 yet the guy expected us to have ID even though we are both over 15. The person then proceeded to say get your parents to bring ID for example passport yet my parents were at work.

I attended the live transmission of 'Turandot' from the Metropolitan in New York. The transmission was excellent and it felt as though we were there. Everything about the cinema was very efficient and polite.
As the transmission came to its climax the transmission was lost. It was recovered after about 5 minutes and we completed a very enjoyable meeting.
On our way out we were given complimentary tickets to another screening and very genuine apologies from staff and members of the management. This is 'customer service' at it's best. No need to ask, just offered. It cemented my loyalty to this cinema.
Perhaps if the high street copied such service then footfall might improve.
As usual I have to complain about the price of refreshments and wish that cinemas would review their financial model. I would love to buy but refuse to pay the exorbitant prices.

I watched Wonder Park and Pet Cemetery on the day, it's in a great location in regards to dining out, the retail park shops also helped the time between start times go quicker.
All the staff were helpful and friendly, Matt especially really stood out and helped me immensely.
The Coffee machine enables you to have a Hot Chocolate with foam, I was very happy with that, the cinema was clean, tidy and seats in the screens are well spaced and placed, the film quality for both was brilliant.
It's a shame the Screen 4 bar and lounge is no longer in use, they could do something with it and should.
Con's, the seats although well placed and spaced are a bit rickety and could do with a bit of TLC.
I think the outside could be brightened up to be more welcoming, and I think some lights in the entry way's would open it up too.

Tickets booked for a subtitles showing, failed to put the subtitles on, spoilt birthday celebrations with my family. Had to sit through half hour of adverts and trailers without any subtitles and then another 20 minutes of the film while they tried to work out if there was a problem and could they fix it. Sadly the management didn’t seem to give a rat’s ass about the disappointment and disruption this caused our whole family. Steer clear, especially as the Showcase in Coventry is far more comfortable individual recliners and only 10 minutes up the M6.

Cinema is located in a shared retail park fitted with number plate recognition cameras that fine motorists if you stay longer than a couple of hours yet their website is selling tickets for films that are in longer duration than you can park without being fined!
Cineworld say their landlord sets the parking restrictions. I would avoid this Cinema at all costs.

I think with the prospect of Brexit looming over, it has given businesses a loop hole to start charging ridiculous costs and make, what I can only describe as, disgusting increases!
There was always a charge to book online at Cineworld (I am not sure why as it takes away the time from a person at checkout) but it has increased by 40%!!!! Tea/coffee, drinks and snacks have also significantly increased. I am not sure how they expect the average wage earner to afford to come and watch films.
Cineworld need to get their act together...I'd be surprised they are not on the decline with visitors.

Nice place expensive treats and drinks. Good selection of films with adequate seating. Recommend better seats perhaps recliners. Good sound quality. Well sited for apres film meal.

A cinema is a cinema at the end of the day. But Cineworld is a cinema with consistently disgusting toilet facilities.
