Museo muy interesante y nutritivo,sobre la historia detalladamente de la coyuntura social y polÃtica de aquel entonces,podrás ver hasta algún veterano que luchó en las playas,gracias al equipo especialmente julio y Paola fueron unos anfitriones 10.

Excellent and detailed insight into one of the 20th century most controversial and most famous invasions. Definitely worth visiting especialy for history lovers. Very helpful and knownledgble tour guides. You may see and feel what realy happened, why did it happen, what was supposed to happend and how all endes.

PHENOMENAL! I spent two hours learning about a fascinating part of history from people who were truly passionate about it. The staff was genuine, intelligent, and accommodating. I am excited to see their new building once it's complete! I recommend this museum to ANYONE who appreciates history or who wants to learn more about Cuba.

El personal era genuino, inteligente y servicial. ¡Estoy emocionado de ver su nuevo edificio una vez que esté terminado! Recomiendo este museo a CUALQUIER persona que aprecie la historia o quiera aprender más sobre Cuba.

The day I stopped by, there were several veterans at the Meseum. Watching the short documentary, hearing the vets' stories, and a guided tour from the meseum historian brought history to life. If you like history, this should be a stop on your list.

This is a terrific little museum in the Cuban neighborhood of Miami. I took my teenage daughters so they could learn about the history of Cuba and the many Cuban Americans who fled Communism to find a better life in the United States. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I've visited twice now and both times I had the honor of meeting actual veterans of the conflict and hearing their stories of their fight to liberate that imprisoned island and their imprisonment in Cuba afterward. Next time you're in Miami, budget a couple of hours and make sure to stop by. If you're a student of history, you'll be glad you did.

Situated in little Havana, this museum is a must do especially if you do not know much about what happened in Cuba. From the minute you walk in you are welcomed by friendly informative staff. We booked a tour in advance online. We watched a short film about the events that occurred at the bay of pigs and at the end we met someone who was actually there Carlos and we were able to ask questions about anything. It was amazing to get first hand knowledge. I just wish we allowed more time. The museum is free, but do leave a donation at the end to help with the new extensions they are planning.

The Bay of Pigs Museum is excellent! My brother and I visited when we were in Miami. In the museum we were given a tour by two great people. One was the sister of a participant in the Bay of Pigs and the other was one of the young men trained by the CIA to participate in the Bay of Pigs. We got to hear firsthand from the tour guide that was held prisoner by the Castro regime for a year. He told us about the prisons, the incompetence of the U.S. government in planning the ill-fated invasion and about life under the Castro regime. In just two hours we learned so much! This place is truly a treasure! As an added bonus, admission was free.
I strongly recommend this place to any traveler who finds themselves in Miami.

If you are even the slightest bit interested in history, this is an absolute must. So rare to be able to learn about historical events from people who were directly there and lived it.
Like many, my understanding of the Bay of Pigs came from a brief mention in history class, having watched the 13 Days movie and learned a bit about Cuban history on my own. The veterans with whom I was able to speak were so tremendously generous with their time in explaining the history leading up to and through the mission. The museum is undergoing some changes as there are plans to expand (exciting to hear) but there is still a wealth of interesting artifacts, photographs, uniforms, weapons from the mission, you name it, they have it.
If you are in and around Little Havana and have any interest in history this is an hidden gem and must see. Real history doesn't always play out like a Disney movie, and I very genuinely appreciated the nuance with which this complicated event in world history is presented. These men have pride in their valor and the brotherhood they built (deservedly so) but are frank and honest in discussing the mission itself, its prospects for success and the ongoing problems in Cuba. Please don't take my word for it, and stop by yourself.

I had the pleasure to visit the Bay of Pigs Museum in Little Havana, Miami, in mid- July 2022. Rather than just having trained museum representatives provide short discussions on the history, artifacts, and legacy of the Bay of Pigs event, two veterans of the operation led us through this remarkable museum. To state the interactions with these freedom fighters were informative would be a gross understatement. Critical operational and tactical details filled the dialogue as well as extraordinary comments on the Cold War context.
As importantly, on display were also the patriotic and courageous ideals of Bay of Pigs Brigade 2506. Unfortunately, their high character and courage are lost in revisionist histories that depict Communism as nationalistic and progressive rather than a movement responsible for worst bloodletting in history--over 100 million deaths and still counting.
I highly recommend anyone visiting Miami take the time to visit and support this museum, particularly the young who are too often denied critical historical information that calls attention to the individual freedoms that are rapidly eroding in the current political climate.
As importantly, on display were also the patriotic and courageous ideals of Bay of Pigs Brigade 2506.
