Very interesting

We found out about this place and decided to have a look, it could do with a bit of maintenance but thats ok , we got to meet and have a chat with the man himself and then we looked around there is a platform that you can go up to so you are looking down on the display. We discovered that looking into the compound next door that they were breeding Alligators and had quite a few in different tanks .

Quirky and off the beaton path place to go
jan. 2020
While this is not everyone's cup of tea we really enjoyed it. At the time Mr Proeung built this it was very unique. Now you will find miniature replicas at many hotels and other places around Siem Reap. We really enjoyed meeting Mr. Proeung and his family and definitely appreciate his work. In addition to the replicas of the temple there is a small alter at the entrace where the family worships. He and his family are very welcoming and appreciative of your patronage. Be sure to climb upstairs to get a better and view and peer over to the neighboring crocodile farm. We actually came twice on our recent trip

Verwahrlost...

Dieser Ort war vielleicht mal schön und interessant. Aber der Ort ist mittlerweile eine verwahrloste Müllkippe für die 2 $ Eintritt verlangt wird.

Interesting work by a dedicated artist
nov. 2019
Stopped by on my way to the National Angkor Museum. The two were not comparable of course - Dr Proeung being a one man show and there were only 4 miniature replicas (Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Keo and Banteay Srei). Nonetheless it was certainly a nice experience admiring the dedication of an artist - and make sure you do not miss the 'helicopter's view (in Dr Proeung's words) of the temples from the rooftop. Spent 15-20 min there but it was time well spent.

Appreciate the Artist and His Work
okt. 2019
Our hotel was not far from this site and we got to meet Mr. Dy Proeung who created the replicas and the sketches from which they were built. Realize that he had buried the sketches during the Khmer Rouge terror to preserve them and he probably would have been executed if they had found them as intellectuals of his ilk (artists and architects) were viewed as subversive and he would have joined the 25% of Cambodia's population that were killed. The total area is very small as it is essentially his backyard, but it does give you an idea of the scale and size of the temples without having to take a helicopter flight. Fun to take a photo close up that seems almost like an actual temple except for that giant feline in the picture which is really a kitten. Mr. Proeung is interesting to talk to and he is proud of his work and will show you photos of his younger self and those who have visited his attraction. Look at some You Tube videos to get an idea of what it looks like. A little tricky to find on a quiet street. Worth a short visit.

Miniature Wonder
okt. 2019 • Alene
Basically just go! a different look of Angkor Wat and meet the artist who created this mini marvel from memory. Felt guilty only paying 2 US dollars. I was the only person there that day & had to search but well worth it to be invited into his backyard. Must visit if in Siem Reap

A Quaint Semi-Accessible Short Visit
sep. 2019 • Venner
This place is easy to miss, and chances are tuk tuk drivers won’t know the place since it’s small and located in an unassuming area.

Entrance fee is $2 USD per person, which is fine for a look at an artist’s decade-long endeavour and photo-op. There are only 4 temples and the whole thing takes 10-15 minute to go through, but it’s worth it if you are obsessed about the temples or find yourself in the area.

The scale replica was made by an architect/sculptor using plans he drew up of the temples. They seem to be made from concrete, and the natural process of weathering have turned them mossy and discoloured, much like the originals.

The place has a roughly patched ramp at the entrance and places are a bit tight with parts of the scales strewn about. But overall, a powered wheelchair was able to traverse the area with little difficulty. Only thing inaccessible was the roof of a building that can be scaled to see an aerial view of Angkor Wat.

Nice quick visit. Owner and the artist was the cutest old man with a lot of stories to share. Worth the 2USD entry fee.

Gran sorpresa, imprescindible!!
