A UNIQUE JEWISH TOUR OF COPENHAGEN - WALKING OR BY CAR
On a unique tour around Copenhagen, we will not only tell you the story of Danish Jewry from when the first Jews arrived in 1622 to the present time, we will also show you the general sights of the Capital. Although never large in numbers, the Jews in Denmark have nevertheless had a substantial and important influence on Danish culture and history. The sights on our tours include the Copenhagen landmark, The Round Tower with its golden Hebrew inscriptions; the statue of the world famous Danish Jewish Nobel Prize winner, Niels Bohr; and the Trinitatis church wherein the Torah scrolls from the Copenhagen Synagogue were hidden during the Second World War and thus were saved from destruction. We have created a special tour where we will take you to the little fishing village of Dragor. Here you will encounter the fishing boat, Elisabeth, which took part in the miraculous rescue of 7,000 Danish Jews in October 1943.We offer tours by van or limousine. We pick you up either at your hotel, the airport or pier and end the tour at your request.
