Visited here as a family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens and a 2 year old).
Well laid out and most attractions are inside which was a bonus as we did have a downpour at one point. This didnt stop us going outside to ride kids rollercoaster and go on the train and maze however.
The teens went on the outdoor slide but it is weather permitting so make sure to go on first thing incase you miss out. The indoor timed course was a hit with the teens, they absolutely loved this and were constantly trying to compete with each other. Reasonably priced and they did have a few turns. Eldest managed to get into the top 3 on the leaderboard so was pleased with that.
We brought our own food so cannot comment on the cafe etc.
Sandpit was a huge hit with my son, he kept wanting to go back here. Also had soft play, tunnels and the balloon pit.
Watched the indoor bird show with the owls and the outdoor bird show later in the day.
If we were in the area again we would revisit with our son but i feel there isnt much for my elder 2 except the dodgems and the outdoor rollercoaster. I also feel the adult price is a tad expensive when there isnt a huge amount for adults apart from to sit around.

Thanks for your visit Natalie, and for taking the time to leave a review. I'm so pleased that you had a full day here with us, and that the sand pit and Ninja Stars family games arena were particularly popular with your children. We do make sure that adults are able to take part in every activity alongside their children, and most visitors take the opportunity to play together! I'm sorry rain stopped play in the morning for some of our outdoor activities, but we do open these back up as soon as possible.

We booked a day out at the milky way at the last minute. The weather was shocking but we still had a fantastic time. Luckily the majority of the attractions are indoors, so a great day could be had here in any weather. Merlin is a very talented entertainer and is great with the kids - his shows were a highlight.
All staff at the park really seem to enjoy their jobs and put a smile on all our faces! Would recommend to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your review of The Milky Way! It's wonderful to hear that despite the challenging weather, you and your family had a fantastic time during your last-minute visit. The fact that the majority of the attractions are indoors and can be enjoyed in any weather is certainly a bonus for visitors. Great family day out in rain or shine. Plenty to do for our under 12 year old grandchildren. Hallowe’en celebrations in full swing with decorations, shows and spells & potions lessons - great fun. Dodgems, rollercoasters, indoor play area and outdoor bouncy pillows definitely a hit along with football penalties and shooting. It was such a pleasure to see children of all abilities getting involved and having fun. The staff were so friendly and helpful which made our visit relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you.

My extended family of 11 had a thoroughly excellent day at the Milky Way. We arrived at opening and left at closing time and could have stayed much longer as there was so much for the children and adults to do. Most of us have visited before and we used our reduced price entry pass which really makes the trip excellent value for money.
As always the science show and the bird show were great. We never get tired of seeing the various birds flying and hearing all about them from the falconer.
All the family enjoyed the rollercoasters, the dodgems and the donuts, bouncing pillows and soft play.
A brilliant day and we look forward to coming back next year.

Fantastic day spent, well worth the trip. Had so many different activities for both my 5 and 3 year old. The shows were great, especially David Rampling with his two different birds of prey shows…all four of us were captivated, thank you!

Fantastic day out for children of all ages both inside and outside in all weather. We have a 10 and 2 year old and they both had lots to do. Very clean place and friendly staff with good value for money food. Great shows made the day extra special. Would definitely recommend as a day out.

We booked online 4 Adults & 3 kids & also paid for the dog, however when we arrived we were presented with a responsible dog owner disclaimer to sign, which we didn't have any issue with as we are responsible adults. A member of staff then approached our dog by looming over her & she barked & we were informed that we couldn't bring our aggressive dog into the attraction! Our dog is a black Labrador & is the most placid dog and is in no way aggressive. We inevitably ended up with 3 kids that have been denied entry for no good reason other than a staff members dog phobia. If you have a dog please be aware that this is certainly not a dog friendly attraction & if our dog is denied entry then it is also highly likely that unfortunately you are also the owner of an aggressive dog! They did void our online transaction to refund our payment due to us not being permitted entry as you would expect.

I can assure you that neither the member of staff who approached your dog first nor myself (having heard the barking from my office) have a phobia - in fact we are both dog owners and lovers. When both my staff member and then shortly afterwards, myself approached your group your dog growled and barked at us aggressively. This can be seen in our CCTV footage. You then told my staff member, in front of other staff that your dog doesn't like strangers. Our dog policy (available on our website), is very clear. Extract here - "Whilst we don’t actively encourage dogs to come to the park, we’re happy to admit very calm, friendly and well-behaved older dogs with responsible owners. The management reserve the right to approach your dog / dogs to assess their temperament and any dog showing signs that they could cause potential upset or harm to other guests (especially younger children) will not be admitted or will be asked to leave. This includes excited behaviour, such as excessive barking and jumping up." Unfortunately your dog clearly demonstrated aggressive and protective behaviour when approached by strangers and certainly was not friendly. I am sorry that this led to disappointment for your party. I would urge anyone who is thinking of bringing a dog to be confident that they would be friendly if approached whilst at the park - whether this be by a member of staff or a young child.

Brilliant day out for 4 adults and toddler (19months). It was so quiet which helped but the park really have thought of everything. Really reasonable pricing throughout (including tickets), and plenty to do for toddlers and adults. We will definitely be back next year. The weather was awful so we wish we went on a slightly dryer day to experience some of the outdoor activities! Staff were super friendly too which was lovely. You can tell it’s family run.

Out of curiosity and because I’ve told friends about The Milky Way when they say they’re going on holiday in Devon could this be the same Milky Way I visited with my son probably 25-28 years ago, was a working farm and you could pet/feed the animals and milk the goats in a barn etc? The farmer had a fantastic sense of humour and great banter with visitors. Thank you

Hi. Yes this was us. Although we’re very different now, we’re a spaced themed adventure park rather than a working farm. We no longer have animals (only birds of prey) but have things like play areas and rides.

It depends when you last visited? We have added Ziggy’s Blast Quest (a laser shooting ride) this year along with a brand new shop and entrance. Last year we added a large outdoor donut slide and balloon room. I hope this helps.

We went as a party of 10, with 6 to 13 year olds and grandparents too and we all had a fab time and thought it was excellent value for money. There are 3 main theme park rides, at least one is for older kids and we all went on lots. There are outdoor trampolines, ringoes, really interesting bird displays, pottery, a maze and archery. All of which kept our teenagers engaged. I think it's fun for all of the family!

Thank you for your enquiry. Well behaved, friendly dogs kept on a lead are welcome on site. We just ask that you please do not enter the bird of prey shows, bird of prey centre, the carpeted play areas including the new Little Stars area for under 7's.
We also require all dog owners to sign a form on entry to show that they understand and agree to the above.

Hi. We have added more outdoor attractions in the past few years with the jumping pillows and new Gravity Rider slide however it is true to say we still offer more undercover facilities than anywhere else in North Devon so we are very well geared up for bad weather. So it just really depends if you want to make use of our outdoor rides and attractions. I would suggest taking a look at our website.

Hi Claire. Queues for the rides are fine around this time of year. The only queue you’ll really experience is for Santa’s grotto but he’s defiantly worth the wait as he’s the real deal! The kids can even play in the play area while one of you queues for your turn. However we are attempting to improve queue times this year with visits to Santa only available by booking online where you can select a morning or afternoon visit.
