It is very easy to go to Auschwitz-Birkenau from Wroclaw. There are several guided tours available in the city. It is not too expensive (I do not remember tue exactly price) and if you depart early in the morning you will be back around 17 o’clock. They provide water and Sandwich . I do agree, you can’t miss it. It is a very sad “human scar”, you will not fell nice there, but O consider it a necessary visit. Good luck

Whilst one can't booked a tour as an individual, the city centre's usually have tours via the Tourist Information Office and these are typically tours where people are 'grouped' together, so if you book one of these tours I think you will find you are then with a group, (good day as well in meeting other people from across the world), hope this helps, R
