If you are going to do one thing in Salzburg, treat yourself to a Mozart dinner and concert. This was a special birthday present for my husband, and it cost quite a bit, but it was worth every single penny. We booked a table in the second row back, so we had a fantastic view of the performance. The chamber orchestra was absolutely superb and the singers were excellent. The female soprano had the most beautiful voice.
The food is excellent, the service very professional and the surroundings exquisite. I cannot recommend it enough. At the end they sang happy birthday to my husband and brought out cake. We will never forget our night, it brought us huge joy.

Wonderful evening. Beautiful venue, amazing musicians and singers, great food and service. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Salzburg.

I have a 7 (girl) and 9(boy). Needless to say I was concerned they would enjoy themselves or heaven forbid, misbehave. They did such a good job and the staff was so helpful in making it special for them. We truly enjoyed the food and show. The crew are so talented. Their hard work shows.

Arrived on time , marched to table ( booked premium table ) only to find it was a table of four and our seats were stuck behind a Christmas tree with zero view of the stage .. when I said we’d booked premier seating in front of the stage was told no these are your seats . Totally unacceptable and to make things worse there was a table of two ( which I believed I’d booked ) in front of the stage that was free all night ! Contacted sells agent who apologies and said would send a refund … yeah you’ve guessed it no refund. Book somewhere else as what they are selling is not what you get !!!

Overall Good: Yes do this if it appeals – I liked it! but see details on seating, formality, food, service, drink costs for more detail. Want a fun evening, something to do with live music and OK food and OK service? This will do!
Seating: view of stage or back to it. The musicians/entertainers are at one end of the room. Most of the tables are laid out 4 people on a table who are facing the stage, 4 who have back to stage. Luckily due to a glitch in booking, I communicated with a man on the admin team there who sent me the actual table layout so I could see proposed seating! It was back to the stage; we requested table one row further away but was FACING stage and that was much better! I recommend that the booking system should show seating, just like cinemas.
Dress and formality: Anything goes. Do not worry. I saw people in suits , some in hoodies. No-one cares. There is a self-service cloakroom where I saw ladies change into posher shoes.
Food; Food was nice, fairly basic, portions were small. Mass catering style.
Service: Looks very elegant and refined but they mess up just like the rest of us. Example on my tables they “forgot” to give 3 people their starter soup. I had to ask & chase. Then while some of us on 8 seater table were still eating, they decided to collect and clear up empty plates on same table - while other people on table were still eating. 😊 not high-end at all, this is a red flag for me! This is mass catering operation.
Drink costs: You can decide if and what you want to drink. Over 8 Euros for a bottle of sparking water amused me. The 88 page drinks list. (mostly wine) with several wine bottles over 1000 Euro amused me too. Just do you.. have just water or bier if you lile. or find a 40 Euro wine as I did.. or chose your connoisseur wine.. or whatever you want. .that’s how they make their profits, over to you

Three of us attended the dinner show and were seated at a private table on the side near the front with an excellent view. We had to exchange our voucher from Expedia for tickets at 630 and had no problems. Everyone at the venue was extremely pleasant and service was very good. The meal was as expected for the price and we found a wine on the menu that was reasonable. The musicians were excellent but I guess I didn’t read about the singers. They sang in a different language which is expected but I would have enjoyed it better just to hear the musicians. The venue is beautiful and I recommend getting there early for drinks at St Peters bar which is where you enter. It was decorated beautifully for the holidays and had live music.

Dear concertgoer,
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review! The programme includes highlights of Mozart's most popular operas such as "The Magic Flute", "Figaro" and "Don Giovanni" so you heard arias and duets in German and Italian.
In case you should return to Salzburg someday may I recommend to attend a classical concert in the Marble Hall of Mirabell Palace: no singers but excellent musicians in varied ensembles...

Excellent all around! Great music, service, fun table. Perfectly priced for the experience. The performers were amazing and everyone had a great seat no matter where you were seated. Very well done and not stuffy.

Wonderful dinner and concert. The service was excellent, the food was pretty good, the wine however (although a great selection) was very expensive.

Food is okay but the music is fabulous!
The background music from the room was still playing when the concert started and was pretty loud. They finally turned it off after my husband pointed out to them, we were distracted for the first 10 minutes because of this.

Hello..
We had to email the restaurant directly and ask for a different menu. They were helpful and gave us a different menu choice. The different choices were answered in our email.

Hi .. my daughter sent the restaurant an email as there was no option for the vegetarian menu at the time of booking. On receipt of our email they were very helpful. Enjoy!! we had a fantastic time.
