‘’C’e’ del marcio in Danimarca’’,e’ una citazione tratta dall’Amleto di W. Shakespeare.La frase dianzi enunciata e’ forse piu’ applicabile alla situazione italiana,piuttosto che alla nazione del nord Europa…..La Danimarca e’stata designata da innumerevoli studi statistici come il posto del mondo dove e’ possibile ritrovare i canoni della felicita’,coniando i danesi a questo riguardo un termine,Hygge,vocabolo generico, ma che sostanzialmente esprime l’armonia con l’ambiente circostante e la creazione di un’atmosfera tendente alla positivita’.Non e’ certamente un paese fiabesco,non dimenticandoci che Andersen ha avuto i natali ad Odense;il cielo cambia spesso di colore,l'alcolismo rappresenta una piccola piaga sociale,ma sapere che qui si e’ sviluppata una green economy all’avanguardia,si e’realizzata una sana ed ordinata globalizzazione,il tasso di disoccupazione giovanile e’ appena al 2%, la bicicletta(a pedali)puo'circolare su piste dedicate, la gente ti sorride, tutto cio'la pone su di un piedistallo privilegiato. Today we had an amazing afternoon learning about all the sustainability efforts being done in Copenhagen. Our guide, Fran, was so knowledgeable about all aspects of these efforts, from food waste to fashion as well as water use and recycling/waste efforts. We learned so much during this tour and it has been the highlight of our visit to Copenhagen. He was more than happy to field all our questions about many aspects of Danish life and culture. Thanks again for an awesome experience!

We cannot recommend this tour enough!!!
My parents, sisters and I (all adults) did the tour with Anita.
She took us a bunch of beautiful different parts of the city that we may not have seen otherwise. The information on all the various sustainable initiatives in Copenhagen was truly amazing and inspiring. We saw beautiful bridges, architecture and parks. We had been to Copenhagen before and saw a ton of new things that aren't flooded with tourists.
The biking required was easy and on flat roads. It was really nice change to be following a guide rather than always trying to figure out directions and such on our own. We had rented our bikes for the week from Copenhagen Bicycles and loved them.
We would gladly to the tour again and in every city we visit. We hope to see Green Bike Tours in more cities in the future.

Absolutely loved the tour! We've been cycling in Copenhagen for two days - but it was our guide Aurelia who explained how to navigate some of the peculiar left turns from bike lanes. We have done almost a complete circle around the town, but staying away from touristy places - the whole experience was so different to a walking tour in the historic centre. The historic developments are similar across many European/Hansean capitals, but it is the 21st century solutions that really put Copenhagen at the forefront. What an amazingly livable / hygge city! It was great to have a local guide who could not only show the points on the itinerary, but also share her local / cultural experience - acroyoga, swimming in the canal lido, exchange student life, incineration plant with ski slope. We will definitely come back once the kids are a bit older, but for now trying to lead a more sustainable life and getting my wife a bike for commuting!

Happy to hear that you loved the tour with Aurelia, one of our great and commited guides! And happy to hear that your stay actually has reflected on your every day life in terms of living a more sustainable life with more biking included. YOur thoughts on what to experience and how to be a tourist in the 21st century are interesting and shared by me as well. I had a great 3-hours-ride with knowledgeable Josefine who went into detail about the innovative measures Copenhagen has introduced to achieve carbon neutrality in 2019. And going by bike is also a fun way to discover parts of Copenhagen where there are not so many tourists. I highly recommend the tour for all those who want to see that it is definitely possible to do something for our planet while at the same time thriving economically and making people happy.

Our tour guide Aurelia was not only knowledgeable but fun and engaging during our sustainable biking tour of Copenhagen. We covered a good part of the city and saw some beautiful areas that tourists typically never get to see. We travelled at a comfortable pace with a good mix of riding and stopping to visit interesting sites. Appropriate for all ages. One of the best tours of our entire trip!!

I experienced a green bike tour a while back, but I am just know reminiscing about my trip and realized I did not give this company the great review and credit they deserve!
I booked this bike tour for my brother and I during our visit to Copenhagen as a way to see the city and learn about the sustainability, something we were both very interested in when we planned this trip! It was the only tour in the city where you could learn about sustainability and cover a lot of the city, that didn’t include riding a bus or walking miles upon miles. We visited in March, so the weather was cold and a little rainy, but that did not hinder our experience at all! Our tour guides were amazing and we really got a personal tour, considering we were the only two brave enough to book such a trip during the cold months! If you book during cold months, just come prepared with coats, gloves and hats— the tour is still just as spectacular and the biking keeps you pretty warm. I can’t recommend this tour enough— had I not booked it I would not know nearly half of what I do about the city’s sustainability and seen as much as I did. Great for any type of group— solos, couples, friends, families, business, school, etc!!

My wife and I did the Liveable and Sustainable Capital of the Future Tour by Bike. It was incredibly inspiring to see what a city can do when the collective whole has an ambitious goal to make the world a more livable space. Our hostel had daily rentals of bikes, so we brought those over with us. Cycling in Copenhagen is incredibly easy and our guide was sure to go at our pace. Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable about the city and sustainability.

This is a great thing to do while in Copenhagen, which aims to be the first carbon neutral city in the world. So you get to see the city, while also learning about the different balance of initiatives that are helping Copenhagen become more sustainable. The really good thing is how this might inspire different people from around the world to take the ideas back home with them and even apply some of them where they live. Very educational and Josefine was a great guide, so highly recommended. You're bound to meet some interesting like-minded people as well.

Hello, my son and 6 friends will be travelling to Copenhagen this summer after they graduate from high school. Five of the boys will be 18 years old and two will be 17. Will this be a problem for them to enjoy this tour. There will be no "elders" with them.
